Malaysia Airlines flight experience in stormy weather, as MH607 from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, onboard the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
This flight, with a flight time of 44 minutes, departs from Kuala Lumpur at 7.52pm. Boarding takes a while with baggage space issues in the overhead compartments, passengers requesting change of seats, and a missing passenger. Outside, the rain grows heavier and after take-off, lightning flashes can be seen in the night sky. Refreshments are served, and I’m surprised that ice cream is provided. It is a welcomed treat, even on a stormy day!
The flight is routed over Sumatra, Indonesia, possibly to avoid the thunderstorm. The landing is uneventful in Singapore Changi Airport. The cabin crew are polite and professional, even with the short flight time.
